Households

Each of the Community households consists of more than one family, often with several generations represented, who share together the daily tasks of home life in privately owned homes. Household families and individuals are financially responsible for themselves, while also committing to care for one another’s needs. This integration provides countless opportunities for “bearing one another burdens” toward the goal of following Christ. The occupations of household members vary widely and include owners of small businesses, medical personnel, teachers, musicians, carpenters, plumbers, architects, lawyers, and others employed at the ecumenical publishing company Paraclete Press – one of the Community’s ministries.
