The mission of the Community of Jesus is to be a faithful witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to glorify God through worship, the common life, and the creative arts. The name of the Church of the Transfiguration reflects an essential part of the gospel message, that in Christ, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, it is possible for lives to be transformed, and for our life together to be an instrument of the healing love of God.

The word of God is tangibly proclaimed in the visual and performing arts with Gloriæ Dei Cantores choir, Elements Theatre Company, Mount Tabor Ecumenical Centre, and in the publishing of books, videos, and the distribution of recorded and printed music through Paraclete Press.
